I was talking with my girlfriend the other day about working out. We were debating the best time of day to do so. Personally I like working out first thing in the morning, it sets the tone for the day. My friend said she preferred working out at night, because it helped her work off a stressful day. This got me wondering, when do most people work out?

I had always heard it was better to work out in the morning because you amped your metabolism and ran at a higher rate for the rest of the day. Also it is too easy to find excuses the later in the day you workout. My husband is ever faithful to his after dinner workout though and I have definitely been a slacker during the cold winter mornings.
I would rather work out in the mornings, but that is the time I work best and more productive. So during the week I workout in the afternoons, before dinner.
On Saturdays, I go to Jazzercise in the morning.
I am with you Jeanne. I feel to sluggish at night.
I need to do it in the morning otherwise I find too many other excuses. Although I sometimes get the mojo to do it when kids are at sports practices in the evening. I've been a complete slacker lately, though.
